It is not safe for Buyers to use PayPal
On June 20, 2012 made a purchase from wigsbuy.com and paid thru paypal $90.99 US. Paypal gave my money to this company on this date. I did not receive anything until the 24th of July 2012, over 30 days and it was not right.
The merchandise I received was not what I ordered and I was told by Paypal to return the merchandise, so I did. I filed a dispute with Paypal according to their process for the resolution. The canned process, did not address the facts as they were given to them. Instead, they asked me to return the merchandise and then told me that they would not allow my refund. So the Seller got to get their merchandise back and keep my money. Pay pal tried to say they did not pick the merchandise up at customs in China, but I don’t have merchandise or my money and Pay pal is saying they can’t do anything about it. I have documents from the seller and Paypal, but most of it was not used in the dispute and to top it off they closed the dispute under the name of another company. How do I get my money back from PayPal?
Stupid rule that only buyers can leave feedbackMy experience seems to be not so bad after I read some of posts. It starts with an Ebay problem but isn’t that the same as Paypal these days? I have been using Ebay for...
Always taking the buyers side.Until recently I sold on Ebay and obviously used there subsidary paypal. A customer bought a radio controlled helicopter from me, destroyed it through mis-use and then had the cheek to claim back his money...

It’s not safe for ANYONE to use PayPal. Buyers or sellers in the end we all get screwed and the only winner is PayPal. Earning interest on our money they are holding and not allowing refunds because that would mean they would have to give back the transaction fee they just earned. I have been fooled more times as a seller then a buyer but they are equally exasperating and costly events. The dispute system paypal has is laughable the only investigation they do is to see how they stand to make the biggest profit. It’s time for a change and if paypal doesn’t shape up I am predicting a mass Exodus.
Nobody is safe with PayPal. If your the seller you get screwed and if you the buyer you get screwed. It’s a lose-lose situation. The only winner in this whole scheme of things id PayPal. If you paid with a credit card though PayPal you can dispute the charge with the credit card company. You will have a better chance at getting your money back that way.
