PayPal are soulless thieves
PayPal are soulless thieves. They’ve been taking my money and profiting from it left and right. I received a payment through PayPal and they PayPal will hold the money “pending” for over a week to earn interests on it. SO I won’t have access to any of it. After that is done, PayPal will deduct 7% for their own profit from it and then I need to transfer it to my bank account which PayPal will take another opportunity to hold my money and earn interests off of it for another week. It says on their page America’s most loved way to get paid. Really??? I don’t love it at all that when I get paid I have to wait OVER 2 weeks to get any of that money and then they are taking a big share of my earnings.
They are rotten, soulless, greedy people behind their business. It’s sickening and beyond me how they have so many users. I am in the process of canceling my account but they can’t even get that right, telling me I have to wait 3 months before I can close it. I have all ready removed all my information so paypal can do whatever they want with that account. One thing’s for sure; they are not getting another dime from me.

I hate paypal and maybe they should put that on their home page, let their users give some reviews. Or how about just posting their phone number on their home page for all the times you have to call them to sort (try at least) things out. They just recently imposed the 21 day hold on me for no reason and I am also going to close my account if they don’t remove that.
Agreed, got the same problem. I sell stuff on eBay, about 10 – 15 items per month. Got 100% positive feedback (on over 300 transactions) and a 4.9 – 5.0 customer rating score. All of a sudden paypal has put this 21 days “buyer protection” hold on my account. I am convinced they’re just doing that that increase their interest revenue on my expense. Maybe it’s just pennies they’re getting from me, but looking at the bigger picture, if they’re doing the same to thousands, if not millions of account holders, than that’s a nice little earner.
Totally agreed, I got the same problem and even worse, I will never ever use Paypal, they are so greedy and be careful people, yor are all tricked by Paypal, they are just sucking blood from our members. Too many bad experiences, and not only me, my friends, etc.
Good luck closing it out. Ebay and paypal do nothing to make the closure process an easy one. I was fed up with having my funds be on hold for 21 days at a time so I decided to look elsewhere for merchant services. I found a great alternative, set my account up and went back to paypal to terminate services. I tried twice to close my paypal account; the third time was the charm. I kept getting the run around; finally once I decided to close my bank account that they continuously debited from the closure magically went through. Paypal are indeed nothing but a bunch of thieves.
