Paypal is so slow that mailing checks would be faster
I sold my Playstation 3 (broken) on ebay. The buyer was very fast with their payment and the money showed up in my pay pal right away. However I wasn’t able to touch the money. I am new to pay pal so I called and asked when my funds would be available. They told me that they would be available as soon as the buyer received the package. I checked this morning to see if it was delivered and it was. My funds however, were still unavailable for me. I called pay pal and they told me this time that now my funds wouldn’t be available for up to 3 days after it has been delivered. She didn’t give me an exact date because “sometimes their system takes a little longer others”. First of all, I was misled the first time I spoke with them. Second of all, it takes ANOTHER 3 DAYS to get my money into my bank account. Think about this for a minute, one person with only $66 sitting in my pay pal account for a total of 10 days, multiply that by the amount of customers pay pal has and look at all the money that can be invested and how much money this company makes on other peoples funds. Each day that they can hold off paying you, that is more money that pay pal can put in their pocket!!! Old fashion snail mail and checks are waaaaay faster then pay pal. I will never use pay pal or ebay again. Craigslist is the way to go.

And you can’t even be sure you’ll have the money after 3 days. I am sure they are talking business days which if this was over the weekend will take an additional few days. Paypal will come up with any and every possible excuse to hold your money. My brother in law has been using a merchant account and I have been thinking about switching; he gets his money in 2 days in to his bank account. I don’t understand why this is so hard for paypal to figure out
