PayPal have practically killed my business, my reputation, my family….

Used PayPal for 2 years without problem. Husband price tested new product through his account, payPal froze it as it had suddenly spiked, and asked for docs; sent and received by PayPal who wrote and said that they were now permanently limiting the account due to potential ‘poor customer experiences and potential financial losses’ -feedback of 99.8%, over 4,000 feedback, powerseller, top rated etc account which of course is linked to husband through name/address has also been frozen as a result – they have £14,500 in there that they say won’t be released for 180 days….its November 19, what do I pay staff with and VAT on November 30? What about courier, postal services, suppliers due within next 39 days……I am considering a large overdose. we HAVE to accept PayPal for software sales under Ebay’s rules, we already have a merchant account, but few people use it and we can’t specify that we want payment this way of course. My daughters wedding – oh my god…..she won’t be able to afford the final payment for her venue, she will lose all her deposits…..I can’t believe that after all this work over 13 years, PayPal have practically killed my business, my reputation, my family….

    This is just awful. Have you tried to appeal their decision? If you email askpaypal@paypal.com you usually get to speak to a person and the guy I got was really helpful and solved everything in 12 hours. You can also tweet them @askpaypal don’t bother going through the online customer service route because that is nothing but a waste of time. best of luck to you
