Paypal is pissing me off

I’ve seen this site before and had a laugh about those tossers at paypal. Now that they’ve finally pissed me off enough to want the account closed I’m happy to moan in public.
A month ago I bought a camera from a lad in Sweden. I paid with paypal. He paid the fees and everything was fine. Then a day later he tells me the camera has a problem and he refunded the money. I went to the paypal account and lo and behold the refund is ‘frozen’. I emailed paypal and got some usual bollocks about why it was held. Nothing I could understand or for that matter believe!
2 complaints to paypal and nothing. It took 3 weeks to get access to my money. Then yesterday I get an email asking me to confirm my name….WTF? I answered them back by email saying that the account was 9 years old and they can take my word for who I am. When I check my account it’s frozen/suspended. I call customer services and ask why. They require photo id to prove that I am what I am. Well, I told them to fuck off. I am not sending private information to a jumped up stall holder. I’ve just tried to close the account (it has £45 in it) but they won’t let me. I’ve had enough. You get accused of money laundering by these bastards. Why? For a couple of hundred quid….that might take a while to launder. My biggest transaction was £1200. I have had enough of these jumped up scum. rant over

I’m replying to my own comments here but I talk to myself anyway. A question – can paypal actually ask for the kind of ID proof they want? They want copies of my drivers licence/passport and bills (credit card bills/utility/bank statements etc). Is this not against the Data Protection Act or my own privacy? When I called them yesterday I got to speak to one of their drones who tried to bullshit me that ‘as a regulated blah blah..etc’ they were required by law to confirm my identity. Now,considering that they have had my fucking address and bank detail/credit card details and spoken to me over the phone for the past 9 years is this just a way of keeping my money at arms length? Can I go to my bank and make sure that they don’t take anything? Can I call my credit card company and do the same? My missus got the same question a week ago but she was offered the chance to just sign a form and return it. Takes up to 2 weeks but she can’t buy anything with paypal until its done. I wish I had the address and a fresh turd to post! john

I’m taking these incredibly stupid benign retards to my local MP and get them tightly regulated.

They think they can say the dumbest things sometimes and it makes no fucking sense.

    They’ll learn lol
