Paypal wants to “part ways”. That makes 2 of us!
I recently had a customer on ebay who requested a refund on a gold chain I had sold him, and I agreed to refund on receipt of the returned merchandise. He claimed that he mailed it but I never received it so I refused the refund. Paypal ruled against me and refunded the money. Then they said my appeal was denied and they wanted to “part ways” as agreeable as possible” Their words exactly. which was fine with me after what they did, but now I cant remove my bank account or credit card account from the paypal site. They say my account is restricted. How they can get away with keeping my bank and credit card information? I dont trust them and this seems illegal to me. Now I either have to change my bank and credit card or worry about paypal having that information. They wont even respond to my emails. What is wrong with these people???

Close your checking account and report your cc as lost. That is the only thing you can do because you dont want paypal to have access to that information adn they will not delete it. Even if you were able to remove the information from your paypal account it would still be available to paypal in their system. Paypal does not delete any of the information you ever given to them.
Yes, close your existing accts and open new ones. I hade PayPal attempt to take money out of my acct after it was hacked, and I actually changed accts, they sent letters to my bank, requesting funds be sent to them. Luckily Im in another state and my credit union told to pound sand.
