You lose as a seller no matter what

After several “Lost item” claims from Byers’ on eBay, Followed “Advice” and
A. Gave buyer option of “Cheep ” postage, Or Tracked postage as recommended by Paypal
B: Put terms and conditions on listing stating if tracked option is not taken No responsibility for lost or damaged item’s can be taken and by bidding on my items accepted these terms..

Buyer then takes “Cheep “option item doesn’t arrive (I always have Certificate of posting) then opens item not received complaint with paypal.

When I point out to paypal that I have a; Certificate of posting, b: the terms these byres agreed to when buying my item, the conversation with paypal customer services goes

Have you got tracking information?

No the buyer wouldn’t pay for it, I have certificate of posting.

You have no tracking information?

No IV just told you that.

We have to find I favour of the buyer if you haven any tracking information

But the buyer was offered it and refused it

Well you shouldn’t have sent the item,

What about the terms and conditions on my listing?

They don’t make any difference to us!!!

Result, I lose Goods and money paypal refunded buyer with no proof the item didn’t arrive, I have proof item was postage, Counts for nothing!.

Legalized theft! And not the first time, I have never had paypal find in favour of the seller

I have had the same conversation with them. You will have a better conversation with a brick wall then with a paypal rep. The complete lack of common sense with these reps is nothing I have ever come across before. And it’s like they want us to just bend over and take it as sellers and accept the fact that buyers can rip us off.

I am surprised you guys are blaming PayPal for this. You were stupid enough to offer shipping without Track & Trace and now you’re complaining? Amazing.

We offer only highest security shipping. This means:
    - Track & Trace to the customer’s front door in every country we deliver to
    - Customers need to sign personally for receipt (and show ID)
    - Parcel is insured up to € 5500

    It just common sense.

“Result, I lose Goods and money paypal refunded buyer with no proof the item didn’t arrive”
    – To be fair, how is one meant to prove something didn’t arrive?

re : Dennis van der Spoel.
sir, do you even use ebay/paypal? you are REQUIRED to offer a cheap postal option in your auction/sales. You cannot stipulate that you will only send insured post UNLESS you’re willing to take the hit yourself.

so, Paypal/Fleabay states “without tracking we wont pay your claim” while at the same time “you must provide postage as cheap as we say, otherwise we wont list your auction”

    It’s a rip-off plain and simple.

@Dennis van der Spoel: Total BULL. Every time I order something though Paypal, I have yet to ever sign for it. No id was asked for, no signature was required, and no, T&T was not offered. I’ve had people do this exact same thing to me as the complaint above, and frankly, Paypal pisses me off. SCREW YOU

I OFFER insurance. Can be cut throat with 12 other people selling the same thing so you have to offer el cheapo and premium options for money bags.

The problem is…people who ELECT not to take the additional cost of insurance for the risk of carrier muck up expect to be insured at my expense all the same. That’s bullshit. Thats not paying your life insurance premiums and little sally sperm grown sueing the insurance company for that policy. Life ain’t free. No business is big or small.

If ebay and paypal are too cowardly to use the words at your own risk to good sense to scare of the coddled buyers THEY should cover them out of THEIR pocket considering they have hiked their rates up to obscene levels to the service they provide. Then THEY can muscle down and put a stop to all the fraud going on in buyers because of the swamp of a system it is now.

People need to stop being such criminals. Lets see how happy shoppers are when they are always home or missing deliveries cause everything is now signing for a damn magazine because the publishers are getting 30% chargeback rates because issues not recevied unable to track or disprove a ghost monkey took it off to the woods and wiped his ass.
