Labeled “high risk” despite 100% rating
I have been trading quite happily on eBay and PayPal for 5+ years. I have 100% rating on eBay and have never had a PayPal dispute filed against me. So basically a low risk.
I recently tried to list an item fir sale on eBay but an alert came up saying I had seller restrictions on my account. After several calls to eBay and PayPal I was advised that I had a previous registered PayPal account which had me down as a “High risk” and that PayPal had suspended my account in 2007. All of this was news to me. Now 5 years later they have linked this restricted account with my current trading PayPal account and will be removing my account. My current balance of £2,700 will be frozen for 180 days as I am considered a risk to their business despite 100% feedback and clean PayPal transactions for 5 years!
I am based in the uk and want to take legal action against PayPal. I feel like they have stolen money from me as well as question my good character as labeling me as “high risk”.
