I was hit by Superstorm Paypal and devastated my business

8 years previous track record, one day SHUTDOWN OUT OF NOWHERE. Was processing $40,000 – $60,000 a month through about 6-10 websites at any one time. They killed my biz and I couldn’t sell for 7 days while obtaining another processor and my sites lost their followings. I went from 700,000 in sales a year to 180,000 booom. Happened in an employee payroll week as well, sooooo, needless to say I had about 15 employees walk out. I lost my sales floor, my site’s loyal following, and PayPal was holding about $21,000 of my employee’s money. I couldn’t afford Payroll and filed bankfuptcy the following month.

PayPal without reason held funds of over $21,000 for 7 months and didn’t release until October of this year. I, as a result, lost my home, a vehicle, and a multi-million dollar small business. They slit my throat and the entire time my hands were tied while they sat back and LAUGHED!

I emailed the execs, mailed letters, nothing …. I got a Cease & Desist back stating I was violating the terms and conditions by not following the terms and conditions for appeal. WELL THEIR APPEAL PROCESS IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST. TO APPEAL YOU HAVE TO CONTACT THEIR ATTORYN’S.

THIS PROCESSED SHOULD BE GOVERENED BY A REGULATED COMMITTIE OUTSIDE PAYPAL AND/OR MYSELF AND MY INSTITUTION. ELSE IT’S BIASED AND UNJUST.

No one has a heart at that place, and if they do you’ll never speak to them again. I was literally interrupted on a call by another party who OVERTOOK the call and person I was speaking too. They took them away from the phone and proceeded to, once again, feed me to their attyorney.

I was finally able to, after 6 months, get a reason for the account closure: chargebacks increased by 1/10th of a percent. Yep, in one month, out of 7,500 transactions I had 15 chargebacks. Before I had 4 or 5 …

Come to find out, at the time I found this out, I had won 95% of them via the dispute resolution center within PayPal and already receieved credit for the funds.

Now, you took my money, ruined my business, held my money, and then returned my money. I wonder if I was a threat to them somewhere on the web …. or maybe an exectuive or higher up targeted me as an enemy. Who Knows!!!! All I know is that it was extremely fishy and unwarranted the treatment I recieved. In the beginning they had no answers and in the end, they had them, however couldn’t justify them. I was told that I would again, need to contact the legal department for clarification.

THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT DIDN”T SHUT ME DOWN FUCKERS … YOU DID!!!

  1. desmon says:

Paypal is not for business making the kind of money your business was making. I don;t think anyone would use paypal if they read the user agreement. That is some really scary stuff they put in there. To sum it up for you, they can do whatever they want with your account and your money. They are not federally regulated and there is very little oversight about the way paypal runs their business.
